Public spaces place significantly higher demands on surface materials than typical residential interiors. In addition to an attractive appearance, they must withstand heavy daily use, be easy to maintain, and retain their character for years. These requirements were the reason behind the application of the Imitace betonu® decorative finish in the vestibule of Prague’s Českomoravská metro station.
A Modern Surface Inspired by Exposed Concrete
As part of the modernization of Českomoravská metro station, we applied the Imitace betonu® decorative finish in the station vestibule. Its appearance reflects contemporary architectural trends and naturally complements the character of the public space.
The Imitace betonu® finish became part of the station’s modernization while preserving the original architectural and artistic elements dating back to the station’s opening in 1990. The new surface therefore complements the character of the vestibule and contributes to its renewed appearance.
Anti-Graffiti Protection for Public Spaces
Metro station vestibules are among the busiest public areas. Surface finishes used in these environments must withstand demanding operating conditions while allowing efficient maintenance.
For this reason, the Imitace betonu® finish was protected with a special anti-graffiti coating. This protective layer makes it easier to remove graffiti and other types of contamination commonly found in public spaces. As a result, the surface maintains its appearance over time while reducing maintenance requirements.
A Clean and Cohesive Appearance
